Academy IT has partnered with the not-for-profit organisation Talent RISE, the charitable foundation of Talent International, whose vision is to create purpose and life-changing opportunities for young people.
Talent RISE upskills and empowers young people to commence and build thriving sustainable careers in future-facing enterprises, whilst assisting employers in building inclusive working environments which will deliver the business benefits derived from a more diverse workforce.
Talent RISE contributed to the recent AWS re/Start Program delivered by Academy IT, giving students guidance and support in their engagement with employers. Amy Bryan, manager of the RISE program across South Australia says, “It was a pleasure working with AIT and the students, especially as we got to the pointy end of the course and students began networking with key clients and partners.”
The attention and feedback to the students was invaluable, with a noticeable transformation in their confidence and approach to their presentation to employers.
“I loved watching them grow both professionally and individually and by the end of the course, it felt like I was working with a brand-new bunch! I wish them the best of luck moving forward and would like to thank AIT for letting me come in and add complimentary employability training and confidence-building modules to their AWS course,” Amy concludes.
Amy is a true embodiment of the Talent RISE values, with a clear passion for changing the lives of young people who have experienced barriers to employment and helping them to gain independence and purpose.
Academy IT managing director, Brian Peel reflects on the collaboration, “Academy IT has greatly appreciated the level of service provided by Amy Bryan of Talent RISE. Her professionalism and dedication to the students of the AWS re/Start program has been exceptional and we thank her for all her efforts and support.”
“We look forward to strengthening our relationship and collaboration opportunities with Talent RISE and Talent International to secure the future of IT talent developed here at Academy IT,” said Brian.
