The course has been designed to support Job Active clients to get a potential job or Traineeship with an employer for a job in IT. This 6-week programme is full-time and in-class with Instructor-led training, supported by self-study and assignment work, as well as group activities.

Description

This skill set addresses the skills and knowledge needed to support individuals in gaining basic technological knowledge and general ICT skills as they enter into specialised and non-specialised ICT careers. The course has been designed to support Job Active clients to get a potential job or Traineeship with an employer for a job in IT. This 6-week programme is full-time and in-class with Instructor-led training, supported by self-study and assignment work, as well as group activities. Class times are 9am to approx. 4pm/4.30pm Mon- Fri.

Industry recognised training

The IT industry is constantly evolving as new technologies are developed.  Academy IT are continually developing their programmes in conjunction with industry partners to ensure they’re up-to-date and relevant. Academy IT is a Microsoft Certified Learning Partner, Amazon Training Partner and a Mile2 Cyber Security Academy.  Academy IT trainers are experts with years of experience in the IT industry.  They hold certifications in each of the courses they teach.

THINGS TO KNOW

Accreditation achieved upon successful completion of the course:

ICTSAS210 – Update and maintain hardware, software and documentation inventories

ICTSAS211 – Develop solutions for basic ICT malfunctions and problems

ICTSAS213 – Maintain the integrity for ICT systems

ICTICT219 – Interact and resolve queries with ICT clients

Pathways Information

These units of competency can provide credit towards ICT30120 Certificate III in Information Technology and other qualifications that allow for the selection of these units.

Entry Requirements

There are no IT entry requirements for this qualification but a desire to be working in an IT role is required and course attendance reliability is required as potential employers are looking for this.

COURSE FEES

Contribution from Workforce Australia provider or candidate = $30pp only for those candidates that are eligible for Job trainer subsidies.  (Additional Funding for this course is provided from the Skilling South Australia Initiative supported by the Government of South Australia).

This is a full-time course, in-person over 6 consecutive weeks to complete in our Adelaide CBD rooms.
